Apple Introduces New MacBook Pro with Retina Display

Macbook_Pro_with_Retina_Display

When Apple introduced the MacBook Air in 2008, it shook up the PC industry. It was the world’s thinnest notebook. Today MacBook Pro sets a new standard in performance and portability for pro users. Of course, frontline tech like this is costly - base model starting at $2,199.00

The MacBook Pro’s Retina display has a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels, and this  a 15-inch model has a clock speed of 2.3 gigahertz, but it’s a quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, compared to the dual-core i7. The 15-inch model also has a Nvidia GeForce GT 650M graphics card with a gigabyte of GDDR5 memory. GeForce GT 650M graphics chip that supports up to 2560×1600 resolution on up to two external displays as well as the full 2880×1800 resolution of the built-in display.
Memory-wise, the MacBook Pro with Retina Display comes standard with 8GB of solid-state onboard memory (upgradable to 16GB for $200, but only at the time of purchase — more on that later) and 256GB of SSD flash storage.

Apple promises up to seven hours of battery life on the Retina display MacBook Pro, which you can achieve with casual usage with display brightness at half power.
On the right side are a USB port, an HDMI port, and an SDXC card slot.
On the left are dual Thunderbolt ports, another USB port, and a headphone jack. Both USB ports are USB 2.0/3.0 compatible. Also on the left side is a redesigned MagSafe 2 connector.

Final conclusions

This Apple is really nice. If you have the expendable income and you’re looking for a very solid computer this is hard to beat. The display and functionality is absolutely amazing. By far the fastest laptop I have ever owned. This could easily replace an average desktop. Gaming is not a problem with it and photo, audio, and video editing with the retina display is a pure pleasure. No doubt you could build a faster PC for much less, but when it comes down to display, ergonomics and the glass tracpad this Mac cannot be matched. If you have the cash to spend… you can’t go wrong with this thing.
